Life's eternal hangover
It looks like things have ground to a halt since returning to London on New Years Day. It was a great break and I have new ideas in that dusty head of mine but I haven't even worked on the demos from beforehand (I still like them with a fresh ear, hooray). I have to work on the guitar and vocal edits for 'It Felt Like Forever', but that's pretty much it. Coming back has been an "Oh my god, I'm back at work and have only four weeks left to finish Andy's industry assignment" senario. In other words, I doubt I'll be updating much in the next month.
It's not that I really mind doing other work, it just depends where my head is at. I've registered to be able to make ISRC codes with PPL and VPL to release my work under, as part of my current assignment; the video for Anamnesis is being sorted now. I'm not even sure if I want to release my own music under my own label. There seems little point in going with a major with the industry in its current state, but the financial requirements to go it alone is seriously risky - especially when that requires a decent fan base to begin with... which I don't have.
Also listening to a bizarre combination of The Knife (who are awesome), Rogue Traders and Nelly Furtado (???) currently, not sure why, but it's different.
So right now I'm just going to be patient, a little at a time and we'll see how it goes.
