Too damn busy
I've left the last song alone for now. It needs time to mature on my hard drive before I can listen to it again and make 'final' descisions about what needs to be done before I prepare it for a mix.
In the meantime, I've been focusing my attention on a new song. To reference a scene from the Metallica film 'Some Kind of Monster', the drums were a little stock. I managed to write a vocal hook in all its perverted glory, but no avail on doing the same for the music.
I found a new synth on the net from Fabfilter called Twin, which makes excellent to-the-point synth patches and actually gives the user a lot of creative freedom too. Not quite as versatile at Reaktor, but a hellavalot less messy to deal with (bless it). So with the US currency in so much termoil right now, I was able to afford it - even before payday. Good ol' pound sterling. Despite a raging headache I've been suffering the past few days from exhaustion, I developed the drums. This time they have lots of energy and I suddenly found new basslines were sweat!
Definately going to need some live guitars and I'm really gonna tear my throat apart singing this one, but it's catchy as hell and that's coming from me. *Arrogance just increased 10%*
