Don't hold your breath, this isn't a comeback.

It's been nearly a month since my last post, and with all honesty it could be anything up to a month before my next post. This journal is designed to document the progress I have made with this album and anything other than that is hypothasizing when I can't bring myself to write anything.

Well I haven't written anything, not properly anyway. The reason for that is because I'm currently working on my "Secret" project I was talking about (remember that?), which isn't so secret anymore. It's a multimedia installation fucking around with photos by Peter Beicht and bringing them to life using Flash and sound in 5.1 surround. I've nearly finished on the visuals, but I have still to begin most of the audio work. I only have 4-5 weeks to complete it too. So writing music has been put on hold for a while.

Nevertheless, I've been acting like an idiot singing ideas down my phone again and a couple I've translated to some rough MIDI demos, including a re-work of Substitute God among others. So I have about 14 track ideas now; some of course more developed than others. I was recently getting to a complacent state of mind of "well I have 14 tracks, I can just work on these". Though playing back some of the demos yesterday, I realised I still have a really loooong way to go - and some I couldn't care to continue. So I'm going to try and add more demo ideas as originally planned and choose the best before recording.

The hardest part is fighting with the AMAZING weather outside that's making me reluctant to work at all. Let's forget everything for a while and drink some PIMMS.
